Time again for change....

Well, its almost official (were waiting on the mayor's and city council's final approval). I have been interviewing for a change in jobs the last little while and it looks like I will be changing employers within the next month or so. I will be moving over to Smithfield Fire and Cache County EMS as an Assistant Fire Chief over Administration, Special Operations, and Emergency Management.

I am excited about the prospect as this was the department I volunteered with while we lived in Smithfield. The city has a progressive management team and I will have opportunities to round out my career in some areas that I would not have been able to in my current position.

So if your interested in keeping up with the latest on what we will be doing go to www.sfd-ccems.org.

Simba

Simba is our cat that we got this summer. I took HIM to the vet to get neutered and SHE came back spayed. It is a little embarrassing being a farm girl and all, not knowing the gender of an animal but everyone just said cats are "different". So when the gal we got it from told me it was a boy I believed her. We are all having a hard time changing to calling it "her". Especially Dallin who is not very excited about the change and I think is feeling a bit outnumbered especially with a "sister" coming next month.

Halloween

Melissa and Dallin had fun dressing up for Halloween. Melissa was a ballerina and Dallin was a black knight. They also enjoyed decorating their pumpkins. Aunt Nonee brought us two of them and Melissa got a coupon at school for a free one from Maceys.

Pumpkin Walk

There is a Pumpkin Walk each October in North Logan. The kids and I have gone a few times during the day. I am sure it looks cooler with the lights on in the dark but I wimp out when it comes to cold and crowds. These are some pictures of the kids pretending to be different characters. This seems to be a favorite part for them.

Air Force Museum

On UEA Friday, a few weeks ago we went to the Museum at Hill Air Force Base. The kids were especially amazed at the size of the airplanes. They thought they look a lot smaller in the sky.
